FAQ

Pricing questions.

Why do you list ranges instead of fixed prices?
Two identical-sounding jobs can have very different scope. A "100A → 200A panel upgrade" depends on meter base condition, mast height, conductor distance, and how many circuits are migrating. Ranges let us be honest about typical pricing without lying about the variables. Once we see the job, the price is fixed in writing.
Will the final price match the quote?
Yes. Once you sign our written quote, that's the price — full stop. The only exception is if we open a wall and find something genuinely unexpected (rare on simple jobs, more common on rewires). In that case we stop, document the issue with photos, and quote the additional scope before doing more work.
Do you charge for the diagnostic visit?
Yes — $129 flat for troubleshooting calls (tripping breakers, dead outlets, GFCI faults, etc.). It's credited back to you if you approve any repair, so in practice it usually costs nothing.
Are install estimates really free?
Yes. For new installs (panel upgrade, EV charger, hot tub hookup, generator, custom build, etc.) we walk the property and bid in writing — at no charge. Free estimates are different from diagnostics; if we're tracing a fault we charge the diagnostic fee.
Why are you not the cheapest quote in town?
Because we pull permits, meet inspectors, carry full insurance, run a master-licensed crew, and warranty our work. The cheapest quote is almost always missing one or more of those — and the difference shows up later, in failed inspections, voided warranties, or insurance refusing to cover damage. We're priced fairly for the work, not the lowest.
Do you do free phone consults?
Yes. Call (270) 314-4090 with simple questions (panel size, EV-readiness, "is this pool electrical normal?") and we'll give you straight answers at no charge. Real quotes always require a site visit.
