Maceo electrician questions.

My basement has a sump pump. Can you wire a backup?
Two options: a battery-backup sump (cheaper, runs 6–12 hours) or a whole-home generator with sump as a priority circuit (longer-term, also runs the fridge, well, and AC). Most Maceo customers go with the generator.
My panel is in the basement and I'm in a flood zone. What do I do?
Code now requires panels above the base flood elevation in flood zones. We can relocate your panel to a first-floor location or higher utility area, with new feeder cable from the meter. Often handled at the same time as a service upgrade.
We lost a bunch of electronics in a lightning strike. Will your work prevent that?
Whole-home Type 2 surge protection at the panel clamps voltage spikes from lightning and utility surges before they reach your devices. Pair with point-of-use protectors at TVs/computers. Won't stop a direct strike, but stops 99% of induced surges. ~$300–$450 installed.
