What We Fix

If something electrical isn't right — we've seen it.

Breaker Keeps Tripping

Three causes: overloaded circuit, short to ground, or a failing breaker. We isolate which — fast — with a clamp meter and circuit tracer.

Outlets & Switches Not Working

A single dead outlet is usually a tripped GFCI upstream, a loose backstab connection, or a failed device. We trace and replace.

Flickering or Dimming Lights

Voltage drop on heavy loads, loose neutral at the panel, failing utility connection — three very different fixes, one diagnostic.

Half the Home Lost Power

Almost always a failed main breaker, lost neutral, or tripped main. Stop using anything 240V until we get there.

GFCI Won't Reset

Either a downstream fault, an upstream GFCI tripped, or the device itself failed. We sort it without guesswork.

Burning Smell or Hot Outlet

Treat as emergency. Loose connection, melting wire insulation, failing receptacle. We rebuild and remove the fire risk.

Buzzing in Walls or Panel

Loose breaker on bus bar, failing dimmer with incompatible LEDs, or arcing connection. None of them safe to ignore.

Lights Surge When Appliance Starts

Classic loose-neutral or voltage-imbalance symptom. Sometimes utility-side, sometimes inside. We find which.

Old Knob-and-Tube / Aluminum Wire

Diagnosis, AlumiConn pigtail repairs, partial rewire, or full rewire — depending on scope and your insurance.

Our Process

A real diagnostic — not a guess.

We charge a flat diagnostic fee, find the actual cause, and quote any repair before doing it.

01

Phone Triage

When you call, we ask the right questions — sometimes we save you the visit by walking you through a reset.

02

On-Site Diagnostic

Clamp meter, multimeter, circuit tracer, AFCI/GFCI tester, thermal camera. We measure, we don't guess.

03

Quote & Approve

Flat-fee written quote for the repair before we proceed. You decide. No high-pressure upsells.

04

Fix It Right

90%+ of repairs are completed in the same visit. We test, document, and warranty the fix.

Important

"Just keep resetting the breaker" is how house fires start.

A breaker that trips repeatedly is doing its job — telling you something is wrong. Override it long enough and you can melt insulation, ignite framing, or shock the next person to touch the panel.

YouTube can teach you to swap a switch. It can't teach you to find a high-resistance neutral, identify a failed AFCI, or trace an aluminum wiring hot spot. That's what we do — every day.

FAQ

Troubleshooting questions.

What's your diagnostic fee?
$129 for the first hour, flat. If you approve any repair, the diagnostic fee is credited toward the work. So in most cases the diagnosis effectively becomes free.
Do you work after hours?
Yes — for genuine emergencies (fire risk, lost main power, exposed conductors), we dispatch 24/7. After-hours service rates apply. Non-emergencies are scheduled the next business morning.
My breaker tripped. Can I just reset it?
Once, yes — and unplug the appliance you suspect overloaded it. If the breaker trips again immediately, stop. Don't keep resetting it. That's a short circuit, ground fault, or arc fault, and forcing it to stay on can melt wire insulation and start a fire.
An outlet stopped working but the breaker isn't tripped. What gives?
Three common causes: a tripped GFCI receptacle elsewhere on the same circuit, a failed receptacle, or a loose backstab connection inside the box. Walk the home — check every GFCI you can find and reset them. If that doesn't restore power, call us.
Is my flickering really a problem? It only happens for a second.
Maybe — but a loose neutral on the utility drop or panel main lug can flicker like that for years before it suddenly fries appliances. We can clamp-meter the service and tell you in 15 minutes if it's an actual problem.
