Lighting We Install

From kitchen cans to landscape paths.

Recessed (Can) Lights

Slim 4" or 6" LED retrofits. New construction or remodel cans. Damp-rated for showers and porches.

Undercabinet Lighting

Low-profile LED strips wired to a switched circuit — not battery-operated puck lights. Even, dimmable, beautiful.

Outdoor & Exterior

Wall-mount sconces, soffit downlights, garage flood, photocell-controlled dusk-to-dawn, motion-sensor security.

Landscape Lighting

Path lights, uplights, deck step lights, tree-mount accents. Low-voltage transformer, photocell + timer.

Deck & Patio

Step risers, post caps, pergola downlights, string-light power outlets. Wet-rated, GFCI-protected.

Ceiling Fans

Light-kit, remote, wall-control, and downrod fans. Brace box installs in existing ceilings without one.

Chandeliers & Pendants

Heavy fixture mounting (rated boxes & supports), ceiling height, hardwired dimming.

Smart Dimmers & Switches

Lutron Caseta, RadioRA, Leviton Decora Smart. Whole-home or single-room. Wired with neutral, dimmer-ready.

Holiday-Ready Outlets

Switched soffit outlets controlled from inside the house. No more extension cords through windows in December.

FAQ

Lighting questions.

Can you add recessed lights without tearing up my ceiling?
Almost always yes. Modern slim LED retrofits only need a 4" or 6" hole in the drywall — no ceiling demolition. We fish wiring through the attic or between joists. Six new cans in a typical living room is a half-day job.
How many recessed lights do I need in my kitchen?
Rule of thumb: one 4–5" can per 16–25 sqft, spaced 4–6 feet apart. A 200 sqft kitchen typically needs 8–10 cans on a dimmer. We confirm placement on the free walkthrough — it's about ceiling height, finish color, and where you actually work.
Will my old switches work with new LED dimmers?
Most older dimmers were designed for incandescent and don't dim modern LEDs cleanly — you'll see flicker, buzzing, or limited range. We swap to ELV/LED-rated dimmers with the new fixtures. Inexpensive upgrade.
Can you add a ceiling fan where there's no light at all?
Yes — fish a circuit from the nearest existing fixture or wall switch, install a fan-rated brace box, and tie in a wall switch (or two — one for fan, one for light). Code requires a fan-rated box; we never reuse a standard ceiling box.
Outdoor lighting — does it need to be hardwired or can I use plug-in?
Wall sconces, soffit downlights, and motion floods must be hardwired. Landscape (path) lights run on low-voltage from a transformer that hardwires once and feeds all the fixtures. We bury wire and add photocell + timer so it's automatic.
